AI quoting for Perth aircon, solar and electrical businesses
I'm Jared Hall, and I build AI quoting workflows for Perth service businesses. Aircon, solar and battery enquiries each need a tailored quote. My workflow collects the photos and details first, drafts the quote from your own packages and puts it in front of you to approve.
See it as a storyOpen the film and ask the AI assistant
The assistant is an AI. It runs on DeepSeek, which processes chat text in China, so please don't share anything sensitive. Details are in the data answer and on the privacy page.
What it asks your customers
For air conditioning (ducted, split, evaporative), solar and batteries, electrical and plumbing, it asks for home size and layout, the existing system, power bills or usage, switchboard photos, phase, roof type and brand preferences.
How it works
- Enquiries from your website form or email inbox land in one place.
- The workflow drafts one message asking for the bill, switchboard and roof photos and other missing details. You approve the wording, and nothing is sent without your approval. Automatic sending of a standard message is a later option, only if you opt in in writing.
- Your packages, brands and install rules build the draft quote. Your price list does the maths and the AI writes the wording.
- Ducted and custom jobs are flagged for your designer instead of priced. Rebate lines come only from a rules table that you keep up to date.
- You approve on your phone; no quote or message goes to a customer without your approval. It's sent from your own email address, and the job can be created in your job software where a connection is confirmed.
My calculator's defaults for these trades: 12 quotes a week, 45 desk minutes each, 30% of that desk time taken over, about 2.7 hours a week. An estimate from defaults, not a result; you change the numbers. Formula: quotes a week × desk minutes each × share taken over ÷ 60 = hours a week.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't design systems or give rebate advice, because rules change and a wrong rebate line is your risk. Caelaria is a new Perth studio with no aircon, solar or electrical clients or case studies yet, so my first three pilots are founding places.
What it costs
The audit is free: 20 minutes by phone or video, then a one-page written summary with a fixed price. The pilot is A$1,500 for my first three founding clients (I confirm in writing if a place is open), otherwise A$2,900; simPRO set-ups add A$600. The monthly plan is optional and starts only if you say yes: A$400 a month for founding clients (held for their first 12 monthly invoices, then A$490) or A$490 standard, month-to-month with 30 days' notice. If you take it, the first 12 months total A$5,900 founding or A$8,290 standard (before any simPRO charge). No GST is added; I'm not registered. No guarantee of extra jobs or revenue.
The full price ladder, payment split and cancellation terms are in the FAQ.
Questions aircon, solar and electrical businesses ask
Does the AI work out rebates?
No. Rebate lines come only from a rules table you maintain, and the draft says it's indicative, subject to design and site check. I don't give rebate advice.
What about ducted or custom jobs?
They are flagged for your designer, as are two-storey ducted jobs, three-phase supply and switchboard-capacity questions.
I already design in solar proposal software. Do I still need this?
It doesn't replace your design tools. It gets the enquiry complete, with bill, phase and photos, before design starts. I don't claim a connection to any proposal tool.
Does it suit electricians and plumbers?
Only for quote-heavy work such as switchboards, hot water and battery-ready upgrades, not hourly call-outs.
Which job software does it connect to?
ServiceM8 (depending on your plan) and simPRO have official APIs. I couldn't find a public API for Tradify, so you get a ready-to-copy quote. Fergus, AroFlo and others I confirm for your account on the audit.
