AI quoting for Perth patio builders
I'm Jared Hall, and I build AI quoting workflows for Perth service businesses. For a patio builder, the slow part of a quote is rarely the maths. It's the back-and-forth: how big, attached or freestanding, what roof, what's underneath, can a ute get in. My workflow collects those answers, drafts the quote from your own rates and puts it in front of you to approve.
See it as a storyOpen the film and ask the AI assistant
The assistant is an AI. It runs on DeepSeek, which processes chat text in China, so please don't share anything sensitive. Details are in the data answer and on the privacy page.
What it asks your customers
For patios, pergolas, verandahs, carports, sheds and decking, the workflow asks for the things that move your price: dimensions, attached or freestanding, flat, gable or skillion roof, Colorbond or insulated panels, height, slab or footings, site access and whether council approval is needed.
How it works
- Enquiries from your website form or email inbox land in one place.
- The workflow drafts one message asking for the missing details and photos. You approve the wording, and nothing is sent without your approval. Automatic sending of a standard message is a later option, only if you opt in in writing.
- Your square-metre rates, roof options and extras build the draft quote. Your price list does the maths and the AI writes the wording, so the AI doesn't set the price.
- You check it on your phone, edit it, approve it or ask for a site visit. No quote or message goes to a customer without your approval.
- It's sent from your own email address. ServiceM8 (depending on your plan) and simPRO have official APIs, so the job can be created there once I've confirmed the connection for your account. Otherwise you get a ready-to-copy quote.
My calculator's defaults for patio builders: 10 quotes a week, 60 desk minutes each, 30% of that desk time taken over, about 3 hours a week. An estimate from defaults, not a result; you change the numbers. Formula: quotes a week × desk minutes each × share taken over ÷ 60 = hours a week.
What it doesn't do
It doesn't measure sites, design patios or handle council approvals. Caelaria is a new Perth studio with no patio clients or case studies yet, so my first three pilots are founding places.
What it costs
The audit is free: 20 minutes by phone or video, then a one-page written summary with a fixed price. The pilot is A$1,500 for my first three founding clients (I confirm in writing if a place is open), otherwise A$2,900; simPRO set-ups add A$600. The monthly plan is optional and starts only if you say yes: A$400 a month for founding clients (held for their first 12 monthly invoices, then A$490) or A$490 standard, month-to-month with 30 days' notice. If you take it, the first 12 months total A$5,900 founding or A$8,290 standard (before any simPRO charge). No GST is added; I'm not registered. No guarantee of extra jobs or revenue.
The full price ladder, payment split and cancellation terms are in the FAQ.
Questions patio builders ask
Does the AI set my prices?
No. Your rates do the maths in ordinary code and the AI writes the wording. I test it against 20 to 30 of your past quotes before it goes live.
What about jobs that need a site measure?
The draft says it's an estimate subject to site measure. Jobs outside your rules are flagged for a visit, not guessed.
Does it work with ServiceM8, simPRO or Tradify?
ServiceM8 (depending on your plan) and simPRO have official APIs. I couldn't find a public API for Tradify, so you get a quote ready to copy in. Others I check on the audit.
How many quotes a week do I need?
The pilot suits one job type quoted often, ideally 10 or more a week. Under about 5, the audit will probably say it isn't worth paying for yet.
I'm a homeowner wanting a patio. Can you help?
No. I build quoting tools for builders, not patios. Contact a local patio builder directly.
